Why This Role Matters
The Finance Specialist will provide in-depth analysis and insights into SKU-level product costs to support strategic decision-making and profitability management. This role partners closely with FP&A, costing, and operations finance teams to evaluate cost drivers, assess the impact of scenario planning, and recommend actions to senior management. Additionally, the Finance Specialist will lead initiatives to simplify, standardize, and enhance reporting processes, align costing and operations finance approaches, and drive a zero-loss mindset in plant budgeting and financial processes.
What You'll Do
Analyze and communicate insights into SKU level product cost to aid decision-making within the business FP&A.
Evaluate the impact of strategic scenario planning on product cost and profitability and make the appropriate recommendations to senior management.
Conduct and document complex financial analysis of SKU cost drivers, providing clear information on incremental cost, cash and capacity utilization.
Work closely with the costing and Operations finance tams to implement new initiatives simplifying, standardizing and enhancing our reporting of product cost and SKU profitability
Be the link between costing and operations finance reporting, aligning on a common approach to product cost, plant cost control, loss and savings reporting
Drive a zero-loss mindset to plant budgeting and finance processes
What You'll Bring
Solid finance understanding (specifically in the area of product cost and manufacturing finance) and overall business experience in commercial environments.
At least 4 to 6 years’ experience in a relevant position with proven evidence of analytical skills with clear business acumen.
Experience in working in cross-functional teams and in a matrix organization with ability to form teams; strong business partnering with close collaboration across functions
Strong business acumen with broad base of financial knowledge with a balanced commercial mindset.
Ability to analyze data, identify issues/opportunities and propose solutions/alternatives in a pro-active manner.
Strong written and verbal communication across all organizational levels, with active listening and clear articulation; collaborative team player with a positive, open attitude.
Hands on’ understanding of finance processes and tools (Excel, SAC, SAP & PowerBI) to work though the financial data and communicate these in a presentable manner.
