Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Data Analytics & Insights team at Marsh | a Marsh Business. This role will be based at Mumbai location. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Specialist - Data Analytics & Insights

We will count on you to:

  • Collects data for each individual specialty from multiple  documents, processes the captured data, and manages it further.

  • Performs detailed error-checking and data validation to identify and resolve potential data integrity and reporting issues.

  • Assists in efforts to standardize reporting across business units and regions by following established processes and methodology.

  • Creates basic dashboards and reports using data visualization software to develop creative design solutions that improve the user reporting experience

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

  • At least 12-18 months experience in data capture in the financial services space.

  • High degree of comfort in capturing data from both structured (systems/files/tables etc.) and unstructured (documents) data sources on an everyday basis

  • Attention to detail and holding yourself to high standards of accuracy and timeliness.

  • Excel skills- proficient in entering data captured, linking cells, creating new tabs, tables, basic formula etc.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across various levels to align analyses with business objectives.

  • Assemble and process large datasets, identifying and implementing internal process improvements.

Technical Skills:

  • Data Engineering and Data transformation skills – SQL or Oracle

  • Data Visualization – Power BI is a must have, tableau or Qlik would be a good to have

  • Strong exposure to and hands-on experience with Databricks on Azure and AWS cloud platforms, emphasizing data engineering and analytics capabilities.

  • Ability to optimize data pipelines to perform complex data transformations

Soft Skills:

  • Understanding requirements, excellent communication skills and stakeholder management are crucial skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex data in a simple and actionable way.

  • Experience capturing placement level data capture and analysis process within the Property and Casualty Insurance industry.

  • Intermediate Excel skills- proficient in using Excel formulae, pivot tables, selecting and creating charts in Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

  • A strong business acumen to balance the depth of analytics with the desired business outcomes.

  • A proactive approach to extracting valuable insights from large datasets, continuously seeking efficient methods to drive progress and innovation.

  • Data capture and business analytics skills with experience in tools like Power BI ,Python etc..
