We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Lines Claims team at Marsh. This role will be based in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Senior Claims Advisor
In this role, you will manage Professional Indemnity claims for clients in the construction and built environment sectors, including surveyors, building certifiers and architects. You will provide trusted advice, support effective claim resolution and work closely with clients, brokers, legal partners and technical experts. You will join a specialist team focused on delivering high-quality claims outcomes and responsive service in a complex and evolving risk environment.
We will count on you to:
Manage Professional Indemnity claims from notification through to resolution, providing practical advice and support throughout the claims process
Assess claim information, technical reports and supporting documentation to identify key issues and develop effective resolution strategies
Work closely with clients, brokers, legal teams and industry specialists to progress claims efficiently and in line with relevant standards and regulatory requirements
Share subject matter expertise through client and industry engagement, including presentations at relevant seminars and events
Keep up to date with developments in regulation, industry practice and emerging risks affecting Professional Indemnity claims in the construction and built environment sectors
What you need to have:
Demonstrated experience managing Professional Indemnity claims, ideally involving surveyors, building certifiers, architects or other construction-related professions
Ability to interpret technical reports, claim documentation and construction-related information relevant to claim assessment and resolution
Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage complex matters and build trusted working relationships
A law degree, or equivalent relevant experience, with admission to legal practice welcomed where applicable
