The Opportunity:
Abbott is seeking a passionate and experienced marketing communications professional to join our Heart Failure team. This position will work onsite at our Austin, TX office in the Heart Failure Division. In Abbott’s Heart Failure business, we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and live better.
What You’ll Work on:
The Brand and Channel Marketing Specialist will partner with the Heart Failure marketing teams, as well as other cross functional business partners, to lead and manage marketing communications strategy and execution. This position will be responsible for executing campaigns across multiple channels to help enable sales and build the Abbott Brand.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and execute measurable, multi-channel communication strategies and sales enabling campaigns to support heart failure solutions.
- Collaborate closely with peers in Brand Managers, Commerical Marketing, Digital Marketing, Congress/Events, Public Relations and Creative Services to align on product launches, campaigns, process, strategies, best practices and efficiencies.
- Contribute to the development and execution of brand and content strategies, ensuring consistency in brand messaging across all channels and materials.
- Partner and collaborate with outside agencies/vendors to ensure initiatives meet defined business objectives.
- Produce communication materials on time and on budget while using established department procedures and tools.
- Support the execution of congress specific tier 1-3 events and congresses in close collaboration with Congress/Events, Creative Services, Digital Marketing, PR and Brand peers.
- Liaison with specific geographies, such as Europe, Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific, and provide direction to ensure consistent global messaging and strategy.
- Champion the Abbott brand in all materials and ensures it is aligned to corporate brand standards.
- Act as primary lead for ad and promo regulatory reviews.
- Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in brand management or a similar role within the Medical Device Industry or another regulated industry.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in marketing and branding tools and platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable, successful multi-channel communication campaigns.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Experience working in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of interdisciplinary teams that include product managers, designers, agencies, and marketing automation teams.
- Self-starter who takes initiative, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to independently manage multiple projects towards aggressive deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

The base pay for this position is
$57,300.00 – $114,700.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
