Who We Are Looking For:

The Project Manager is enthusiastic, energetic, self-monitored, and individually motivated to achieve goals. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating construction activities for special system projects in the region. The Project Manager ensures that all work is performed within a pre-scheduled budget and manages the overall project P&L responsibilities. The Project Manager ensures that all aspects of the assigned project(s) are carried out as efficiently as possible with respect to staffing, materials management, financial management, customer satisfaction, and customer delivery goals.

What will you be doing as a Special Systems Project Manager

  • Work hand in hand with the project team to create a mutual understanding of the project strategy based on the requirements of the job.
  • Participate and provide input in IKO and EKOs. Understand the specific role as it relates to each project.
  • Responsible for implementing PMI best practices as applicable to the core business.
  • PM delivery of professional services to our clients.
  • Assume primary responsibility for coordination and communication on all assigned projects including development and monitoring of project plans, work schedules, status reports, and other deliverables.
  • Working collaboratively with clients, vendors, and engineering teams to define and execute IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Identify, track, and resolve issues and risks associated with projects or programs managed.
  • The Project Manager reviews all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to, the preparation of invoices, customer collections ad periodic financial reporting to the client.
  • Track hours, labor, and subcontractor costs to ensure that the project is on budget. Accurately project projects percent complete, labor performance, and profit /loss.
  • Maintain appropriate professional designations and up-to-date knowledge of current business core applications and project management tools.
  • Be the client's trusted advocate:
    • Act as the client advocate by building trust and transparency with Clients, ultimately becoming the clients trusted advisor.
  • Maintain client satisfaction and build client loyalty:
    • Demonstrate excellent client services by acting as an escalation resource, understanding client problems, collecting client feedback and acting upon it.
    • Demonstrating problem-solving capabilities as it relates to satisfaction, remaining respectful and understanding during escalations, and coordinating with internal ANM teams to ensure customer success.
  • Conduct a thorough Jobsite walk with the lead technician or Foreman after IKO and before starting the project. Primary goals are to familiarize yourself with the Jobsite conditions, identify any coordination efforts with other trades, identify any conflicts from the contract documents, and identify potential hazards or problems in advance.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews and analyses of all project or contract documents such as blueprints, project specifications, quality assurance requirements, and customer requirements to be familiar with every detail and or requirement of the project.
  • Review change order documentation and oversee and manage labor and material resources as they apply to the change order.
  • Conduct or participate in weekly or bi-weekly coordination meetings to participate in the overall tracking of the project and to provide updates to the project stakeholders and construction teams.
  • Create and deliver project deliverables, closeout documents, and extended warranties in compliance with the specification requirements.
  • Work with field staff to ensure that all safety and environmental policies of the Company and job sites are followed.
  • Responsible for project scheduling, manpower coordination, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Coordinate and plan with the electrical, general contractor, and the customer point of contact when issues are escalated from Foreman or Lead Technicians.
  • Pull permits through the proper Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Call for inspections when required based on the overall project schedule.
  • Participate in monthly billing meetings to ensure that the work is booked and completed per the billing draws.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers at clients, architectural, engineering firms, and trade partners to ensure successful outcomes of projects.
  • Assists in project pursuits and interviews as needed.
  • Provides guidance in a wide variety of issues to assist project teams in conflict resolution and process improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required education, technical skills, and/or experience:

  • Excellent and proven oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, judgment, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • RCDD, or NICET certification preferred.
  • Must have experience as a liaison between the customer and the Company.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Must have demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks and manage these to completion and customer turnover.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to earn PMP certification within 1 year of hire.
  • 3-5 years of experience in client-facing roles
  • 2-3 years of experience managing Technology Infrastructure Projects
  • Knowledge of the core Project Management methodologies including, waterfall, hybrid, and agile
  • Self-starter with the ability to build relationships, manage customer satisfaction, and implement internal changes.
  • Experience working as a service provider delivering technology services.
  • Knowledge of IT services, products, and IT consulting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong presentation skills; development and presentation of content
  • Ability to manage multiple sites, people, and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with high attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  • Experience with business and project management tools including MS Project, MS Office Suite, Smartsheet, and Salesforce
  • Advanced skills with MS Office, Blue Beam, Outlook, Powerpoint, SalesForce, and Field Wire.
  • Understands legal requirements, including reviewing contracts, lien rights (private vs public) labor laws, prevailing wage compliance, and code requirements.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean Driver's Abstract that meets ANM Driving Privileges standards.

TRAVEL:

Travel may be required for this position. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and motor vehicle insurance.
