Project Management Supervisor – Solar

ION Solar is hiring a Project Management Supervisor to lead our Special Services team in Orem — the group that handles the complicated parts of a solar installation: electrical service upgrades, third-party contractor coordination, and financing change orders.
When a project hits a snag, your team is who fixes it. And you’re who they come to first.
You don’t need solar experience to do this job well. If you’ve led a customer service, support, or operations team and you’re good at untangling messy situations and calming down frustrated people, we’ll teach you the solar side.
What you’ll actually do
- Lead your team day to day — assign projects, track productivity, and keep the queue moving
- Take the escalations your agents can’t resolve, and turn frustrated homeowners back into satisfied ones
- Run quality reviews on your team’s work and coach agents one-on-one on what you find
- Diagnose where the team is weak with your manager, then build the training that fixes it
- Carry a small caseload of your own projects, so you never lose touch with the work your team does every day
- Be the subject matter expert — for your agents, for sales reps, and for homeowners
- Back your manager’s decisions and help roll out new processes to the team
- Set the tone for a team culture people actually want to be part of
- Other related duties as assigned
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years in customer service, support, or operations
- Supervisory or team lead experience — preferred, not required. If you’ve been the unofficial go-to person on your team without the title, we want to hear from you
- Someone who stays calm and professional when a customer isn’t
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the patience to follow a project through to the finish
- Comfortable in Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent

The details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. No nights, no weekends
Location: On-site at 44 E 800 N, Orem, UT 84057
Environment: Open-floor office, phone and computer based, fast-paced. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk; frequent talking and listening; occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, or lifting up to 20 lbs.

Skills Required

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of customer service procedures and principles

- Ability to resolve customer complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor
- Ability to coach and mentor
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of customer service experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
