Call coverage when someone is off and needs their call covered
Under the direction of the supervising physician, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring minimal supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for specialized radiographic areas such as myelography, arthrography, mobile and/or surgical/interventional procedures.
- Manipulates computerized image data to obtain interpretive information and archiving.
- Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician and in accordance with department policy.
- Uses film makers correctly and consistently.
- Transfers and properly positions patients for examinations in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician’s specifications.
Requirements:
- Technical Diploma from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT R.T. (R) Required
- Must have current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
- Must maintain a current BLS certificate within 90 days of hire
Preferred Requirements:
- Interventional experience
