Job Description Summary

The Spatial Data Manager (SDM) is responsible for the day to day functionality of the client’s Space Management platform, ensuring accurate CAD floor plans, occupancy data, and reliable regular or ad hoc reporting for a diverse portfolio of buildings. In this global role, the SDM maintains spatial and occupancy data governance, oversees CAD/CAFM standards, supports allocation model execution, and administers the space management system across multiple regions. The SDM ensures high quality, consistent data and collaborates with stakeholders to deliver a unified and dependable space management program.

About the Role:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for spatial data management, CAD/CAFM administration, space utilization analysis, and occupancy analytics, ensuring accurate and insightful workplace data management.
  • Establish and maintain global data governance, quality assurance, and reporting standards, including space naming conventions, allocation models, drawing standards, KPIs, and data consistency controls.
  • Act as the global CAFM system administrator and primary point of contact, overseeing system integrations, user access, training, and continuous platform improvements.
  • Collaborate with space planners, strategists, occupancy planners, and business partners to support space planning, reporting, allocation processes, and client service delivery while ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
  • Drive operational excellence and innovation by recommending process improvements, enhancing data quality and reporting, coaching space management teams, and promoting efficient space utilization and cost-saving initiatives.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Architectural Technology, Space Planning, Space Data Management, Data Analytics, or Occupancy Planning, with 4–8 years of relevant experience in corporate real estate, space planning, CAFM administration, or spatial data management.
  • Strong expertise in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, applying BOMA space standards, and managing spatial and occupancy data within CAFM/IWMS platforms such as Archibus, Tririga, FM:Systems, Serraview, or iOffice.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, as well as reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, with experience conducting data audits, quality assurance checks, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Experienced in enterprise system administration, including managing user access, supporting system integrations, and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, relationship-building, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, ensure quality outcomes, and drive requests through to completion.
