Who are we looking for? 

We’re seeking an experienced Spatial Analyst to join our South-East Queensland Location Intelligence team. This role suits someone who combines strong technical capability with the confidence to engage meaningfully with clients and stakeholders. You’ll bring a genuine curiosity for the evolving spatial industry and the judgement to apply your skills thoughtfully as technologies and client requirements continue to shift.

This role can be based in either Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Toowoomba. 

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, you will: 

  • Develop and deliver geospatial and data science products and services, ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards. 
  • Engage proactively with clients, with support from the LI Team Lead, to identify insights and opportunities contributing to the team’s pipeline targets and future business development. 
  • Collaborate with technical leads across the business to support GHD’s business goals and KPIs. 
  • Contribute to the growth and successful performance of LI capabilities, including workflow design and automation, solution implementation, and administration of spatial databases and web mapping and dashboarding environments. 
  • Lead proposal preparation, including input collation, writing, and technical documentation. 

 

What you will bring to the team: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Spatial Science, or equivalent with a minimum 7 years of professional experience in similar industries.
  • Highly developed oral, written and visual communication skills, with an emphasis on being able to convey ideas and outcomes to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong spatial analysis skills with the ability to work across software solutions
  • Data management skills, including an understanding of geospatial data models, schemas and standards.
  • Data collection form design and development with an eye to optimising for user experience and automation
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of AI technology in an industry use case
  • The ability to design and develop automated workflow solutions
  • Proficiency in ESRI GIS Software Suite
  • Experience in Technical Project Management, Client Engagement, and Relationship Management. 

 

Preferable experience in: 

  • GeoAI workflows and solutions
  • GIS Development Skills
  • FME
  • Technical Business Analysis
  • PowerBI
  • Data Modelling

Skills Required
