By creating desirable solutions and great experiences that enrich people’s daily lives and the health of our planet, we at Electrolux want to be a driving force in delivering enjoyable and sustainable living. We go to work every day determined to shape living for the better – for our customers and for the health of our planet. Because of that, we employ great people from a wide variety of backgrounds – not just because it’s the right thing to do, but also because we believe that diverse perspectives make our business stronger and more innovative. Peace of Mind is the name given to our Services Product Line at Electrolux, and reports to our Consumer Direct Interaction Senior Vice President at an EA Exec level. Our services complement our Taste, Care and Wellbeing Product Line appliances, during their ‘in use’ phase (often known as Aftermarket phase). We are on an ambitious transformation journey building the capabilities, strategies, and tactics to deliver a best-in-class ownership business model that provides the consumer an outstanding ownership experience.

The Peace of Mind vision is to be the consumers trusted companion, by their side, providing a complete ecosystem of sustainable post-purchase services that are both relevant and within easy reach. We enable the consumer to get the most out of their appliances, and anticipate their needs, so they can keep their home running smoothly and elevate the experience of everyday life. We share our expertise to help them choose what’s best for them, their home, and our plant, giving them peace of mind. We encourage the consumer to repair rather than replace their appliance when that decision arises, ensuring consumers understand both the economic and sustainable choices available to them. We want the consumer to feel Electrolux ‘has their back’ and that we provide them with an outstanding branded experience. We believe getting this right means the consumer will stay with the brand when it’s time to replace their appliance.

Spares Category Manager role objectives:

The mission of the role is to take full strategic ownership of the Spares category in BA EA, with the objective of evolving the current strategy for Major Appliances spares and develop one that includes spares for Wellbeing (Floor Care and Air Care) and Small Domestic Appliance (SDA) spares. This must lead to an increased penetration of the spares opportunity within our installed base, that will accordingly accelerate sales (in line with a category strategy to increase the ‘direct to consumer’ sales, either for DIY spares, or spares consumed in repairs sold by Electrolux) and hence deliver increased EBIT, in line with the company growth expectations.

The role will be measured on the following KPIs:

  • Spares Net Sales, CTF%*, EBIT versus budget and strategic plan

  • Spares sales volume as a percentage against units in operation (our Installed Base)

The Spares Category Manager reports to the Spares Category Director and is part of the Peace of Mind Central team. The role will interact heavily with the other category and functional teams within Peace of Mind, as well as other supporting functions (most notably; Finance, Sourcing, Logistics, Sustainability and other Product Lines (Taste, Care and Wellbeing)) and will work to support the Central Sales channel functions as well as the 8 commercial areas (the ‘in market’ sales companies) across BA EA. Our sales channels are both B2B, as well as Direct-to-Consumer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Category Managers across CAs and Sales Central Team to increase sales and profit of Electrolux group spare parts to achieve the agreed targets in line with the evolving EA Aftermarket strategy;

  • Support Category Managers to find opportunities for growth and synergy across product categories to ensure continue commercial growth and penetration of the Electrolux group install base;

  • Create spares growth enablers and support to the CAs and central key accounts;

  • Analyse markets, product groups and competitors to identify and prioritize opportunity areas for the expansion and development of spares business and associated aftermarket services;

  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics to improve commercial efficiency like STK improvement;

  • Plan sales and promotional activities with the B2B & D2C Sales and Marketing teams;

  • Collaborate across the category team, sales, R&D, logistics, purchasing, sustainability and IT to ensure, as a minimum, legal compliance for spare parts in EA. Also to drive points of difference; for example, spares availability beyond the legal requirements, to improve consumer experience, as well as support our sustainability ambitions to ensure we can maximise any appliance’s life, by ensuring spares are available to execute appliance repairs well beyond the legal mandates;

  • Lead the improvement of consumer facing spares content together with our Direct-to-Consumer E-commerce category managers and Content Marketing;

  • Collaborate closely with the Experience Marketing Manager to ensure that initiatives align with business objectives, delivering impactful results and promoting spare parts across all sales channels.

Who are you, your main experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor and/or master’s degree;

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in commercial category, sales and business development roles. Preferably with 3 to 5 years’ experience in Aftermarket roles and someone who is entrepreneurial, growth-driven and outward (consumer and market) focused;

  • Experience of a value-based pricing approach in a multi-market environment;

  • Proven project management and business process improvement skills;

  • Strong commercial acumen, results-driven, extremely diligent and with strong execution capabilities;

  • Ability to successfully operate within a matrix environment that is highly dependent on effective cross-functional collaboration;

  • Preferably experience from an international company, working with people at all levels in multi-functional and multi-cultural teams;

  • Required languages: Fluent English written and spoken.
