JOB TITLE: Spa Front Desk Agent
REPORTS TO: Spa Supervisor
SUPERVISES: n/a
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Responsible for greeting all guests that come to the Salon & Spa, Fitness Center and assisting them with request or services. Responsible for checking in appointments, renting equipment, selling of retail, answering any guest questions concerning the Spa environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain complete knowledge of:
- All hotel features / services, hours of operation
- All Salon & Spa services, retail and professional products.
- Fitness Center programs
- Scheduled daily group activities
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
- Greet each guest with a warm welcome and fond farewell.
- Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously.
- Handle guest complaints by following the instant guest pacification procedures and insuring guest satisfaction.
- Provide providers with an accurate daily schedule throughout shift.
- Ensure that providers are paged and/or advised of arrival of all guests.
- Successfully complete the training / certification process.
- Notify engineering with all maintenance needs.
- Assist Fitness Center, Salon & Spa when needed.
- Perform any task deemed necessary by management.
- Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times.
- Obtain department keys and secure security of such.
- Access all functions of computer system in accordance with department specifications.
- Set up workstations with necessary supplies. Maintain cleanliness throughout shift.
- Legibly complete requisition for additional supplies/materials and submit to Spa Front Desk Supervisor.
- Review in-house guest list and be familiar with guest names and room locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Periods of standing exceeding 50% of shifts are required.
- Ability to lift, reach, bend, stoop, stand and walk continuously, climb stairs, and push or pull heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including pushing and pulling on a daily basis.
- Considerable repetitive motion of hands and wrists as relates to the use of computer keyboards is possible.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to promote Spa products and services.
- Ability to schedule various services for individuals and large groups utilizing spa reservations software system.
- Ability to input and access data in computer.
- Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time.
- Ability to close out cash drawer.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
- Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Salon & Spa desk.
- Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
- Ability to focus attention on details.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
- Flexibility in schedule.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Previous cashiering experience.
- Previous experience in similar position
- Retail experience
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:
Certified in basic first aid and CPR preferred.
