Get to Know the Team
Join the Strategy and Planning team at Grab - team that oversees and responsible to drive growth for both the GrabFood and GrabMart businesses in the West Territory.
Working alongside Strategy, Product, Commercial and Operations, we are a vanguard for our platform's reliability, competition and market analysis including tracking, business model benchmarking, and translating insight that impacts Grab's business and customer every step of the way.
Get to Know the Role
You will be based onsite in Grab Jakarta office and you will report to the GrabFood Manager, Strategy and Planning. You will take ownership of market intelligence reports and build insights based on those analysis and reports. Additionally, you will manage GrabMart marketplace such as pricing, consumer promotions and driver-partner incentives as well as platform reliability.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will compile, analyze and monitor quantitative and qualitative competitors' strategies, products, pricing, and market activities to identify threats and opportunities using modern and traditional methods to collect it
- You will provide actionable insights and recommendations to inform our decisions, ensuring our business stays competitive in the market.
- You will analyze data to find gaps and blockers in GrabMart marketplace, and develop plans to address them.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Strong ability to break down complex concepts and critically think through logically analyzing complex and ambiguous problems.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or Business fields from top local or overseas universities, though we encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
- 2+ years of experience in Market Intelligence, Consulting, Strategy, Economics, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and spreadsheet software, is essential (experience with Google Sheets and App Script is an added advantage).
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Demonstrate optimism, respect others, and work well in a team. Able to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds and responsibilities, maintaining healthy working relationships even during disagreements.
