Job Description Summary
Responsible for delivering effective sourcing outcomes by managing quotations for non-standard products, negotiating pricing and supporting supplier performance and agreements. Implements category and sourcing strategies, drives KPI performance, and ensures integrity within Epicor.Works closes with Purchasing to manage delivery escalations and prioritisation, while partnering with the Sourcing Team Lead to execute strategies, define metrics and continuoulsy improve sourcing performance and market knowledge.

Role MissionAs a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering effective procurement solutions that meet customer requirements while driving value and efficiency across the supply chain. You will support commercial performance through market analysis, supplier management, and strategic sourcing, ensuring competitive pricing and product availability.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will contribute to category success through proactive communication, strong negotiation, and informed decision‑making. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will help develop and implement category strategies, while acting as a trusted expert to support business needs and optimise supply outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- You will provide procurement solutions to customer requirements; including recommendations on standard product items and alternative available products.
- You will manage and develop suppliers, to include the implementation of specific supplier agreements.
- You will have a commercial understanding and analysis of market movements and pricing, including the negotiation of prices.
- You will develop, implement and deliver specific product and supplier strategies for assigned
- You will develop expertise within assigned categories and be the "go to" person for advice. Assist in RFQ processes, including gathering supplier quotations, lead times, and supporting bid comparison analysis

Essential skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing, or category management role
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to analyse market trends, pricing, and supplier performance
- Proven negotiation skills, with the ability to secure competitive pricing and value from suppliers
- Experience managing supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and contract awareness
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple activities across categories
- High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data analysis, pricing, and sourcing decisions
- Ability to develop and support category strategies that drive cost savings and operational improvements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders
- Proactive and problem‑solving mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and implement effective solutions
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in a global or multi-regional supply chain environment
- Familiarity with RFQ processes, supplier onboarding, and sourcing activities
- Experience supporting compliance or audit-related reporting
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices and continuous improvement principles
- Exposure to cost analysis or spend reporting
- Experience working within regulated industries (e.g. Life Sciences, Pharma, or similar)

This role is based on-site, with a requirement to work from the office for a minimum of 2 days per week to support close collaboration and operational effectiveness. Please be aware that you should be ideally within commutable distance from the office.
