Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Do as Sourcing Specialist
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of sourcing strategies, supplier management activities and Sourcing best practices across the business. The role focuses on identifying value opportunities, managing supplier relationships, mitigating supply risks, and ensuring suppliers deliver against agreed commercial, operational, and service commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of category and sourcing strategies
- Support with the Supplier Communication process
- Own the Onboarding process for new factories to support Primark capacity growth
- Support supplier improvement plans where performance falls below expectations
- Maintain sourcing and supplier management documentation
- Assist in supplier due diligence and onboarding activities
- Maintain supplier records, contract databases, and sourcing documentation
- Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders
- Provide sourcing guidance and support to stakeholders
- Produce sourcing and supplier management reports
- Collaborate with regional sourcing teams to ensure adherent to sourcing process
- Working collaboratively with the Ethical, Finance and QA/Technical Teams to understand and mitigate any potential new supplier from ethical, financial and quality issues as part of their on-boarding process.
- Supporting the broader Sourcing team in preparing for key governance meetings, supplier conferences and supporting the delivery of the outputs from these meetings.
