As a Sourcing Specialist - Supplier Quality Assurance you will take ownership for quality and continuous improvement across a range of suppliers. You will build relationships with internal teams, suppliers to ensure successful delivery. You will ensure supplier quality to global standards and lead continuous improvement where there are performance issues.
As a Sourcing Specialist - Supplier Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for:
- “Supplier Quality Assurance” for “Electricals, Electronics & Controls” aligned with the India Regional growth.
- Supplier Quality Performance improvement for “Electricals, Electronics & Controls” category from FPQ’s till execution of serial production orders.
- Managing onboarding of new suppliers, recommends improvements utilizing Supplier Scorecards and ensuring supplier compliance.
- Using Quality tools to identify the risk and define effective mitigation plan to flawless execution.
- Leading robust root cause analysis & Using DMAIC methodology / APOLLO RCA to identify & eliminate.
- Conducting audits (Process, Product, Quality systems, SSRP/Compliance, 'Eyes always Open').
- An Expert for Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering organizations to improve Quality and Manufacturing processes at supplier end.
- Mentoring the Suppliers to deliver the products on time with full compliance.
- Responsible for key metrics defined for Quality, Delivery, Cost of Quality, RCA effectiveness.
- Develop positive relationships with all stakeholders to manage and implement Engineering changes, New Product Introductions (NPIs).

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have BE/B. Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline with 10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Electronics Manufacturing or Vendor Development.
- Have Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification (preferred)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support supplier qualification, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Have demonstrate strong EHS awareness and understanding of applicable environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Have an international standards and regulatory requirements applicable to electrical and electronic products, including IEC, UL, CSA, CE, RoHS, REACH, IPC, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
- Have a strong expertise in PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT, THT, soldering, conformal coating, AOI, ICT, Functional Testing (FCT), ESS and electronic assembly validation.
- Have a sound understanding of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), motor control systems, power electronics, PLCs, HMIs, industrial controls, sensors and electromechanical assemblies.
- Have an expertise in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, BOMs, assembly drawings and technical specifications.
- Have Lead and support supplier qualification activities including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, MSA, SPC and First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Have good project management skills to handle multiple projects.
- Have good collaboration skills to connect with internal & external customers.
- Have a good decision-making skills to various project issues/challenges.

Skills Required
