Job Description
SummaryThe Sourcing Project Manager position leads projects related to Productivity, Supply Chain Development, and Enterprise Programs, with varying levels of complexity. Activities could include transferring suppliers, exiting, or transferring parts. They may also involve managing localization projects, reviewing sourcing, or issuing RFQ / RFP. Additionally, activities could include managing supply risks and executing other types of productivity projects. Sourcing may require significant engagement with both suppliers and other groups outside. A Sourcing
Your Responsibilities:Lead project teams to support complex, and often critical, sourcing and supply chain strategies and related projects. Achieve operational goals by developing integrated project plans and schedules while creating and driving action plans following our goals and target completion dates. Manage assigned projects to ensure optimum supply chain performance, both domestically and globally, including their associated alignments with company-wide commodity and manufacturing strategies and preferred sourcing models. Lead Supply Chain projects to support the transfer of products between RA manufacturing facilities, ensuring continued supply chain integrity. Lead large projects that support Strategic Sourcing reviews, supplier localization, supplier exit and transitions between suppliers. Achieve all project objectives on time and or challenges and implement solutions to accomplish project goals. Moving problems towards resolution when encountering obstacles, uncertain conditions, or situations where lack of data or conflicting data means there is no clear choice. Maintain internal and external relationships at all levels of Rockwell Automation and supplier organizations. Find and address risks and improve throughout the supply chain for assigned projects. Create Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction, and identify incremental productivity in projects, to achieve the maximum benefit for Rockwell Automation. Work with Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, and Engineering to support technology or manufacturing strategies. Independently make decisions and drive execution of correct supply chain solutions in the face of opposition. Recommend, and potentially support or lead the development of, Project Management and other supply chain related improvements through the elimination of variation and waste, focusing on continuous process improvement while serving as a coach and mentor to others. Develop, Interface and maintain effective working relationships with; Development Engineering, Industrialization Engineering, Component Engineering, Business Unit Management, Supply Management, Operations Management, Industrialization Planning, Supplier Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Finance. Effective presentations and communications (written and verbal) to various levels of the Supply Chain organization.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or equivalent experience. Advanced formal education is desirable in business or a technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of supply chain, manufacturing engineering, project management or operations management experience.
English 85%
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
CPIM, CPSM, or PMP similar certification.
Lean / Six Sigma certification desirable
Project Manager must work well independently, with teams, and may support complex processes or supplier performance improvement projects.
