Summary:

In this role, you will lead the strategic growth and development of the Vizient Reserve sourcing portfolio by identifying market opportunities, building strong supplier partnerships, and delivering contracting strategies that create value for clients. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate market-leading agreements across pharmacy and medical-surgical categories, and forecast revenue opportunities that support organizational objectives while responding to evolving healthcare market dynamics.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the strategic sourcing plan to expand the Vizient Reserve portfolio.

  • Develop and optimize sourcing structures, processes, and procedures that support program objectives.

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize market opportunities based on industry trends and anticipated client needs.

  • Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with key suppliers to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.

  • Negotiate contracts across pharmacy, medical-surgical, and other assigned sourcing categories to maximize value for clients.

  • Analyze healthcare market dynamics, operational models, and cost drivers to inform sourcing strategies.

  • Forecast revenue opportunities and monitor portfolio performance to support business growth.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing initiatives with organizational priorities and client expectations.

  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and contract performance to drive continuous improvement and long-term value.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Sourcing experience with demonstrated understanding of the sourcing lifecycle, healthcare sourcing experience highly preferred.

  • Contracting and negotiation experience with the ability to position value with suppliers.

  • Strong collaborative attitude and team-first mindset.

  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership in achieving business objectives.

  • Creative problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
