In the Sourcing Manager position, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to develop a strategic supply chain plan for major programs and lead cross-functional project teams and programs to support business objectives. Using a data-driven approach, you’ll be responsible for building capabilities and sustainable relationships and ensuring business continuity and service fulfillment excellence with some of the largest and most strategic suppliers.

What You’ll Do & Impact:

Own supply chain for both strategic and complex suppliers, covering: cost, quality, fulfillment, contract negotiation and execution, and lifecycle management. Develop and leverage relationships up to and including at the supplier’s Senior Management level.

Work cross-functionally on new product development projects, including identifying and establishing new supply chains, as well as expertly negotiating highly competitive programs for Direct Supply.

Ensure business continuity and service fulfillment excellence with largest and most strategic suppliers (inventory, risk mitigation and/or contingency plans, etc.).

Own complex escalations and negotiations for large scale opportunities. Serve as day-to-day escalation for the Business Support team as needed (e.g., Supplier performance metrics, customer service and sales support, etc.).

Stay abreast of industry trends and leverage industry and category-specific knowledge to complete full supplier evaluations to ensure suppliers meet the short- and long-term needs of the business.

Work closely with the data analytics team to generate actionable insights based upon data, covering buying behavior and trends in the senior living industry and suppliers to deliver customized products to customers.

Leverage Supply Chain best practices and/or tools (e.g., forecasting, distribution, cost modeling, value stream mapping, etc). Facilitate the transfer and adoption of best practices across the supply chain function. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain.

Leverage technology to enhance the sourcing processes and improve efficiency.

Lead cross-functional project teams and/or programs to support business initiatives and objectives.

Motivate and coordinate internal and external resources to deliver results for committed schedules.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop a strategic supply chain plan for major programs.
Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Engineering, Operations, Business Management or Administration
-
6+ years of sourcing, negotiation and supply management or equivalent combination of experience and education
-
Ability to travel by car and/or plane up to 15%
-
Valid, unexpired driver's license with satisfactory driving record
