ABOUT EVERYDAY DOSE

Everyday Dose is a functional coffee company on a mission to help people feel better, think clearer, and perform at their best, without the crash that comes with regular coffee. We're a fast-growing, nine-figure D2C brand with a loyal, high-retention subscriber base, and we're scaling our retention function to match our ambitions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re hiring a Sourcing Manager to help drive our day-to-day sourcing and procurement function across ingredients, packaging, and branded merchandise. This is a new individual contributor role reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, with no direct reports.

You’ll own the execution behind how we source: running RFQs, qualifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, managing purchase orders, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and making sure the materials we buy meet our quality and compliance requirements.

You’ll work closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Marketing, and Retail and will need to balance cost, quality, inventory, lead times, and supplier performance in a fast-moving environment.

This role is fully remote, with a hybrid option available for candidates based in Austin, TX.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

You’ll take hands-on ownership across several core areas of our sourcing and procurement function:

  • Ingredients & Raw Materials: Support supplier qualification, material compliance, cost management, risk mitigation, and sourcing for new product development.
  • Packaging: Source and manage primary and secondary packaging while coordinating specifications, artwork revisions, testing, approvals, costs, and launch timelines.
  • Merchandise: Source branded merchandise, promotional products, gift sets, and retail display materials while managing vendors, samples, approvals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Procurement: Manage purchasing from buy planning through PO closeout, balancing production requirements, MOQs, lead times, pricing, inventory, and cash considerations.
  • Supplier Management: Maintain strong supplier relationships, accurate commercial records, and visibility into supplier performance, risks, pricing, and contractual commitments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Qualify suppliers: Partner with Quality to collect and maintain supplier documentation, including COAs, specifications, certifications, compliance requirements, and approved supplier records.
  • Manage quality and sourcing risk: Help ensure incoming materials meet specifications, follow up on deviations and corrective actions, identify single-source risks, and develop backup supplier options.
  • Drive cost savings: Maintain ingredient and packaging cost trackers, monitor price changes, run RFQs, compare supplier quotes, quantify savings opportunities, and help execute approved cost-saving initiatives.
  • Negotiate: Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms across assigned categories, partnering with your manager on larger agreements.
  • Understand landed cost: Partner with Finance to evaluate total landed costs, including freight, duties, tariffs, and other cost drivers.
  • Manage packaging: Source cartons, pouches and films, sachets, shippers, inserts, and other packaging while coordinating artwork, tooling, specifications, testing, samples, and approvals.
  • Source merchandise: Manage sourcing for apparel, drinkware, accessories, promotional products, gift sets, and retail display materials while coordinating vendors, samples, quantities, timelines, and approvals.
  • Own purchase orders: Manage POs across ingredients, packaging, and merchandise from creation and acknowledgment through revisions, shipment, reconciliation, receipt, and closeout.
  • Build purchasing plans: Translate demand and production plans into purchasing decisions that account for MOQs, lead times, tiered pricing, inventory levels, and cash needs.
  • Onboard suppliers: Coordinate W-9s, banking information, credit applications, COIs, vendor setup, and item master setup for new suppliers.
  • Maintain purchasing accuracy: Own vendor master and item cost accuracy and ensure negotiated pricing matches POs and invoices.
  • Coordinate with Finance: Manage deposits, milestone payments, payment terms, AP timing, and 3-way match exceptions.
  • Track inbound orders: Coordinate required supplier and freight documentation and maintain clear visibility into confirmed, late, and at-risk orders.
  • Manage supplier performance: Maintain supplier records, pricing and contract terms, scorecards, KPIs, renewal dates, volume commitments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or a related operations role; food, beverage, or supplement experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience purchasing materials and working directly with suppliers, including international or overseas vendors.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and the ability to build cost comparisons from raw supplier quotes.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage dozens of open items and competing priorities without losing track of details.
  • Strong written communication skills and comfort managing supplier relationships primarily through email and across multiple time zones.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where processes may still be evolving or being built.
  • Willing and able to learn the technical side of sourcing, including specifications, COAs, Incoterms, duties, and cGMP fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with 3-way match processes and AP coordination.
  • Working knowledge of California Proposition 65 requirements and their implications for sourcing, supplier compliance, documentation, and labeling.
  • A proactive approach to supplier, cost, quality, and inventory challenges—you identify risks early and help drive them to resolution.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience sourcing functional ingredients or nutraceuticals.
  • Experience working with suppliers in China, India, or Southeast Asia.
  • ERP or inventory management system experience.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, international freight, customs, and landed-cost considerations.
  • Experience supporting sourcing or procurement within a high-growth consumer brand.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Within your first two quarters, you’ve developed a strong understanding of our supplier network, materials, packaging, purchasing requirements, and sourcing processes. You’re independently managing day-to-day sourcing and procurement activities, maintaining accurate cost and supplier information, and providing clear visibility into open orders and sourcing risks.

You’ve identified and helped execute meaningful cost-saving opportunities, strengthened supplier performance and backup sourcing options, and become a trusted cross-functional partner to Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Marketing, and Retail. You’re able to keep sourcing initiatives moving without needing your manager to drive the day-to-day.

What We Do

Coffee is “wakeup technology” that has not materially improved in 1,500 years. We are changing that. 50% of Americans have a gene variant that makes metabolizing caffeine difficult, causing jitters, bloating, and stomach problems. Most people shrug their shoulders and say, “Welp, that’s coffee.” Instead of shoulder shrugging, we’ve developed a priority blend of coffee, functional mushrooms, collagen protein, and nootropics to promote focus, energy, immunity, and gut health. No crash. No B.S. We’ve served 1,000,000 customers in the past 3 years. There are 150,000,000 coffee drinkers left. We’re less than 2% done. Come join us for the remaining 98%. We offer an alternative to normal coffee and stimulants. We are the first mushroom company to combine functional mushrooms, collagen protein and nootropics to activate your DOSE (Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin & Endorphins).
