What you will do
The Sourcing Manager- NPI (Hybrid) will lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing activities in assigned suppliers and/or commodities with the goal of obtaining the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management.
You will be responsible for coordinating sourcing needs for new product development projects, including completion of supplier selection with agreement to Global Sourcing Strategy, regularly reporting material costs, managing schedules, and defining final material logistics. You will act as liaison for all sourcing activities to Design and Advanced Operations teams. This is a hybrid role. We are seeking a candidate in Kalamazoo, MI or the surrounding area. The employee is expected to be physically present at Stryker location 3 days per week but has the flexibility to work from home.
Ensure project teams adhere to strategic direction of Global Sourcing and purchasing controls requirements related to design projects
Leverage improvements to project timelines from experience w/ key suppliers and project teams
Preliminary influence on key project team members to inspire quicker overall deliverables for projects
Negotiate supplier cost reductions and none re-occurring expenses (NRE) and reductions in conjunction w/ commodities teams when cost increases experienced
Drives key efficiencies w/ suppliers and communication tools support faster & more product launches
Identify process improvements to either supplier or Stryker processes to drive better speed to market, quality, and long-term delivery
Build engaging relationship with variety of R&D engineering teams
Build relationships within Operations by becoming a value-added and sought-after resource
Build relationships across Global Category, NPI and Division Sourcing Group
Lead sourcing analysis and selection process and perform cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required
Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans for new products.
What you need
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations management, supply chain management or related field
8 years of work experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development and negotiation skills
United States of America Pay Ranges:
- USN: $102,600 - $171,000 USD Annual
