Summary:

In this role, you will be a strategic sourcing resource dedicated to delivering best in class contracting strategies and expertise that result in supply chain cost reductions. You will contribute to all aspects of supply chain strategic sourcing processes including opportunity identification, strategy building, contract development, negotiations, communications, documentation, and implementation. You will achieve these results and a trusted advisor status through the development of key interpersonal relationships with suppliers and providers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a customer-specific contract strategy to reduce spend, improve operational efficiencies and maximize delivered value.

• Work with supply-side, provider hospitals and Vizient contracting teams to develop enhancements to existing national agreements.

• Lead new savings opportunities for providers by developing and managing customized projects.

• Perform market research, analyze operations within participating providers, evaluate supplier value propositions, negotiate terms, craft contract language with selected suppliers, prepare final business plan documentation of projects, and serve as initial support when implementing solution.

• Develop strategies and deliver formal presentations and updates to provider executives. 

• Strategize and direct campaigns to bring awareness of department’s value proposition for prospective clients.

• Assist operations through data and interpersonal analysis to find savings opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.

• 2 or more years of relevant experience required.

• Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and present data required.

• Experience with project management required.

• Experience with contract negotiations required.

• A high level of attention to detail is required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

• Experience with contracts and creating contract briefs preferred.

• Pharmacy experience a plus.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
