Estimated annual base pay:

Sr Sourcing Compliance Specialist: $85,000(minimum) - $110,000(midpoint) - $136,000(maximum)

Sourcing Compliance Specialist II: $72,000(minimum) - $93,000(midpoint) - $115,000(maximum)

Sr Sourcing Compliance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement compliance programs and initiatives: Moving beyond basic implementation, takes a more active role in designing and establishing the framework for compliance. This includes creating new policies, procedures, and tools to ensure adherence to regulations and internal guidelines.

  • Conducting internal audits and risk assessments of procurement processes: This involves proactively evaluating procurement activities to identify potential areas of non-compliance and assess the associated risks. This often includes analyzing data, reviewing documentation, and interviewing stakeholders to ensure processes are sound and compliant.

  • Complete government Purchase Order compliance reviews to support maintaining of an approved purchasing system and complete DCMA Small Business 640 reviews to maintain an acceptable government rating.

  • Managing and monitoring vendor compliance: The Sr. Compliance Specialist takes ownership of ensuring that external vendors and suppliers also adhere to relevant regulations and the organization's compliance requirements. This can involve due diligence processes, contract reviews, and ongoing monitoring of vendor activities

  • Investigating potential compliance violations and recommending corrective actions: When potential breaches of compliance are identified, the Sr. Compliance specialist plays a key role in investigating the issues, determining the root cause, and recommending appropriate solutions to prevent future occurrences

  • Providing guidance and training to procurement staff and stakeholders on compliance matters: This involves acting as a subject matter expert, offering advice and support on complex compliance questions, and developing and delivering training programs to enhance compliance awareness and understanding across the organization.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This could involve reviewing purchase orders, contracts, and vendor documentation for completeness and compliance

  • Maintaining and organizing compliance-related documentation: This includes managing records, such as contracts, vendor certifications, and audit trails, in a systematic way. This ensures that information is easily accessible for audits and reporting purposes

  • Independently support audits by providing documentation and information: When internal or external audits are conducted, the compliance specialist assists by gathering and presenting the necessary paperwork and data to demonstrate compliance with procurement/small business/government property

  • Develop and deliver compliance training materials: This involves helping to create and potentially deliver training sessions to employees on procurement/small business/government property compliance topics. This could include preparing presentations or assisting with the creation of online training modules
