- Manage Sourcing Officers.
- Build Glocal Sourcing and Buying PUSH Strategies (GPS) for your process.
- Identify most suitable suppliers that can deliver cost plus, flexibility, commitment, lead-time, VMI, reactivity, production engineering, quality, reliability, on-time delivery, vertical integration, transparency sustainability, social, and traceability.
- Develop new vendors/ sourcing countries in collaboration with Country Leaders and present it to the leadership team for alignment.
- Develop and implement the allocation strategy of files per country and confirm vendor allocation.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Service Providers, Business Analyst and Capacity Team for volume allocation.
- Mobilize teams, vendor, and service providers to optimize product availability while improving cash flow.
- Co-Build Fabric Strategy with Fab Lab & Collection in collaboration with vendors to ensure greater traceability, sustainability and reduce lead-times.
- Co-lead fabric workshops to ensure significant leverage for rationalization, cost, and transversality.
- Identify fabric strategies between NOOS, Fabric Booking and Allocation, and Nomination strategies to support multi-country reactivity, and replenishment.
- Build GTMC for PUSH process having a global view and a strong understanding of capabilities of sourcing countries to optimize production flow, ensure quick replenishment, speed on product development in line with commitment strategy.
- Define the operational budget (volume, price, country, capacity allocation, etc.) of their perimeter with other team members.
- Validate allocation to vendors and instruct Sourcing Officer to issue Purchase Orders.
- Develop and promote fair business behavior keeping in mind social compliance and environmental as a priority.
- Define Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) approach and animate the long-term partnership with key vendors based on the company vision.
- Define and construct a global benchmark looking at market intelligence, mega trends, best countries, sourcing fairs, etc.
- Support merchandising teams to improve collaboration with collection.
- Animate performance in a multi-country environment for your team, foster teamwork & initiatives
- Responsible for claims settlement with Vendors and Service Providers
- Contribute and be an actor in company projects to develop efficiency and support change management in the organization.
- Including but not limited to the previous responsibilities, the company can also require the Sourcing Manager to carry out other duties (tasks, projects, temporary missions, etc.) that may be assigned by the Leadership on specific matters.
- University graduate in Procurement/Purchasing/Textile Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years relevant working experience of which 5 years in Woven
- Experience in managerial of strategic role in designing, buying or sourcing environment is an advantage
- Good command of spoken & written English and Chinese including Mandarin.
- Communication in French is a definite advantage Effective negotiation, influencing and sourcing skills Proactive, dynamic with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A good team player and self-motivated
