Our Management Consulting Practice is growing due to client demand across North America & Europe, and we are interested in expanding our People & Talent team to help us through the next phase of the firm’s growth and lead with clarity.

People & Talent Coordinator

This position will be based in our Toronto Headquarters and help to manage our firm’s growing employee base in Corporate Services and Consulting staff in Canada, the U.S. & Europe.

Our team is under 100 employees, and we are keen to hire a “hands on team builder & enabler” that will work with our existing policies, procedures and processes and further enhance and support our growing team in line with the strategy and direction of the Senior Management Team.

Our People & Talent team work together to manage & support our existing staff, new hires, onboarding, contracts, background checks, compliance payroll and performance evaluation. Our teams target is to enable our employees, business, stakeholders and customers through effective Talent & People Operations that helps us deliver to high standards and support our growth.

This position is in-office, five days a week in downtown Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

Talent

  • Work with TA to screen, vet and onboard experienced hires.
  • Ensure hiring process and workflows are compliant, pre-start, and proactively manage the onboarding.
  • Where necessary, assist with visa's and work authorization.
  • Process employment offers for permanent and contract roles.

Onboarding

  • Run the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, handbooks, reviews and processes documenting them for each employee in our HR system creating follow ups.
  • Assist with offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.

Performance Management

  • Help to coordinate the bi-annual performance evaluation process and support managers in employee evaluations.

Policy, Compliance & Process Development

  • Update and communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist company vacation, sick day, flex time and bereavement day tracking.
  • Assist company drug testing compliance, as required.

HR Data & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate HR records on all employees through the HRIS system.
  • Document the onboarding and record in HRIS

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional experience in Talent Acquisition &/or Human Resources with demonstrable skills managing the hiring, onboarding & managing of employees in Canada & the U.S. 
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Bamboo preferred, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Works with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience in a consulting firm or professional services environment will be considered an asset.
  • Interest in working in a Head Office, 5 days a week, as part of a busy Corporate Services Team that supports our global growth ambitions.
