Roles and Responsibilities
- Influences/Defines and leads the implementation of the quality organization, process and tools to support a strategy for the Aerospace Airfoil Casting Industry. It implements a culture of Quality in the organization and defines and leads improvement initiatives to achieve business excellence.
- Manages a small to medium team of lead and senior professionals. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within Quality and/or Investment Castings.
- Requires strong commercial awareness of the industry, and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
- Will lead functional teams driving projects wit moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
- Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on business critical initiatives and product offerings.
- Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the business and industry.
- Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Casting Quality).
- Additional 5 years experience in Quality, Castings, Manufacturing, or Engineering
