This performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Participation in Compliance and other important training is a condition of employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures
  • Prepares a clear, accurate preliminary report in both verbal and written format for radiologist and/or other medical providers
  • Documents medical history related to the exam being performed and completes daily computer work
  • Maintains credentials and/or licensure
  • Participates and attends departmental meetings
  • Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED and Completion of an Accredited Ultrasound Program and ARDMS
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ years of experience in the healthcare/hospital environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently or manage workload

Physical Demands:
  • Frequently standing, sitting, walking and lifting medium to 50 lbs
  • Occasionally kneeling and crouching
