Effectively communicates and interacts with all members of the health care team, including patients, family, radiology staff, physician, nursing, and other allied health personnel.
Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific ultrasound exams. Arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient for desired results.
Participates in continuing education programs and community educational programs.
QualificationsLicensed by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Experience in the field of Sonography. Communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Attends all mandatory inservice and staff meetings. CPR certification. Participates in QA programs and acquires data. Requires verbal and written skills to communicate with patients, physicians and radiologists.
