The Role
As part of the London office based Solutions Engineering team, you will work to assist our pre-sales engineering team, who in turn will play a key role in kickstarting your career and professional development. Through this program, you will be exposed to the full lifecycle of a project, from demos, proof-of-concepts, to the final decision. You will build your technical expertise across a range of exciting and modern technologies, and become a trusted advisor for both our clients and partners. The program will offer a mix of theoretical and practical parts across a variety of topics, such as Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Security Infrastructure, Cloud Technologies, and physical access control technologies.
Successful graduates will have the opportunity to apply for future Solutions Engineering roles, a highly sought-after career in technology. As a Solutions Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be the bridge between Engineering and Technical Sales.
Responsibilities
- Master the Verkada portfolio, and design solutions based on customer requirements
- Support online and in-person platform demonstrations
- Assist with proof-of-concepts and site walks
- Collaborate with colleagues and product teams to test new features and devices
- Provide training to channel partners and resellers
Requirements
- University students seeking a Sandwich year/ Industrial Placement & working towards a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related technical discipline: Networking, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering,Cybersecurity, etc
- Coursework with a focus on computer networking, Linux, computer systems, Python or other coding language preferred
- Ability to communicate complex technical matters both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Industry certifications are a plus: CCNP, CCNA, CCENT, CCDA, CWNP, CWNA, MCSE, CEH, Network+, Security+, A+
