Duties & Responsibilities:
We have an opportunity for a Solutions Engineer to join our Aerospace & Defense (A&D) team, reporting to the Solutions Engineering Director.
In this pivotal role, you will focus on growing revenues within the existing install base and acquiring new accounts in the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) test segment of A&D for the Americas region.
This includes owning and coordinating all technical aspects of the sales cycle, maintaining and expanding the customer base, and collaborating closely with both direct Account Managers and Partners covering the LMR segment.
Responsibilities
Provide remote or on-site customer demonstrations
Lead customer Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements
Provide proper Bill of Materials (BOM’s) to the sales organization for quoting
Interface regularly with our Customer Service department
Cultivate close working relationships with Product Line Management PLM), engineering (R&D), and marketing counterparts to help identify and address all product issues, including quality, delivery, design, and customer enhancement requests
Support annual customer conferences and trade shows as needed
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Qualifications
At least 5 years of successful technical sales support experience with a proven track record of attaining quotas.
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in electronics technology, or equivalent experience.
Technical experience with RF Land Mobile Radio technologies and testing is desired.
Ability to understand complex technical problems in the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) space.
Previous success selling experience in the Public Sector space, specifically Federal, State and Local Governments, First Responder agencies desired.
Strong sales and relationship-building skills with a proven track record in negotiating and closing deals in the assigned territory.
Excellent presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to present technical concepts clearly through demonstrations and proposals.
Self-motivated, able to solve problems, and work with limited direction.
Willing to travel 50-75% of the time as part of the role.
