Solution Engineer is an individual contributor role in HQ or in the region that is accountable for all the technicalities in the telecom partnership process. The engineer in this role takes part in the presales activities for the telecom products, product deployments, connectivity and integrations, improvement of the product features, solution design and delivery.
In order to deliver the desired business results, Solution Engineers collaborate with the regional OP teams and other internal teams (product development, core connectivity, purchasing etc...); act as project managers or assist the more experienced project leads as well as providing the regional teams with consult on the technical aspects of the telecom opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing the regional OP teams with the technical support and knowledge by participating in the negotiations with the telecoms and identifying telecoms’ needs and the possible technical solutions.
  • Collecting the technical requirements
  • Designing the technical solutions and service integration plans.
  • Presenting the technical solutions, assessing if the telecom’s requirements fall out of scope or not and if they do, escalating internally.
  • Conducting the demos and POCs.
  • Delivering the technical documentations.
  • Handling the technical and security questionnaires
  • Acting as a Project Manager in the solution design, integration and testing phases.
  • Supporting the regional OP teams in the closing phase.
  • Ensuring that all the projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Having an overview of the telecom requirements and providing feedback to the Product Development to steer the development of the product features.
  • Having a detailed overview of Infobip’s products and solutions from a technical perspective and understanding the commercial point of view (having a basic grasp of the commercial strategy and what a  successful project would need from that point of view); keeping track of any changes and upgrades.

The engineer on this level focuses on learning Infobip’s products and solutions as well as the business processes. Having an intermediate level understanding on project management, s/he successfully performs project related tasks, consults with the senior engineers, Solution Architects and Solution Managers on the assigned projects/telecoms.
