Job DescriptionPOSITION: Solutions Deployment Engineer, SIS APAC
We're looking for an experienced candidate for Solutions deployment, to become part of our Solutions team and help integrate and commission our software & hardware solution for our rapidly-growing customer base on a global basis. The role will be responsible for executing Proof of concepts, Pilots, on-site solution commissioning and deployment along with the delivery team. As the Solutions Deployment Engineer, you act as the “extended arm” to the Presales and the Delivery Team to perform technical site study, solution deployments, training sessions managing hyper care and general IT tasks - like connecting devices to the network, doing tests and basic system configurations.
Responsibilities
- Participates & ensures success in Demo, solution evaluation, field testing and POC's for the Avery Dennison digital solution
- Creates and shares test cases, reports and recommendations for field testing /PoC’s
- Build scoping document on the customer requirement for the Product & Requirements gap analysis.
- Possess and Utilizes solid understanding of all Products/Services in digital solution business (Barcode Scanners/ Mobile computers/ Printers and specifically RFID tags/hardwares)
- Works closely with OEM’s/partners to evaluate new hardware & software for various use cases and industry segments
- Understands and explains how solutions can help customers achieve business results
- Understands and resolves problems with support from technical resources and internal team
- In depth understanding and hands on the RFID inlays, RFID Hardware, Cloud Software solutions and managing technical discussion with the customer IT team.
- Should be able to basic troubleshoot RFID solutions by checking API end points and backend services.
- Serve as technical expert on RFID Solutions and provide advice to internal teams and customers.
- Works closely with the delivery team to commission solutions at the customer site, manages hyper care and ensures deployment success.
- Build technical documentation for handing over technical information to the Global/Local support team.
- Participate in System Integration testing and User acceptance testing along with the customer IT team.
- If required, travel to customer sites around APAC for site survey and/or commissioning activities.
- Manage and resolve Hardware & software level support tickets when assigned.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Must have prior experience with a reputable RFID system integrator in India, including participation in the testing and implementation of at least five medium-sized, end-to-end RFID projects.
- Possesses moderate domain and solutions knowledge.
Skills & Requirements:
- Demonstrates ability to apply Solution Selling concepts to customer scenarios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in local languages like Kannada and Tamil will be a plus
- Ability to travel between 50%-60%
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
