Join a high-impact North American Solution Consulting team at the forefront of digital transformation in the PLM and QMS SaaS space. As a Solution Consultant, you'll partner closely with account executives, account managers and cross-functional teams to understand customer/prospect challenges and craft compelling, value-driven demonstrations that showcase how our solution solves real-world problems across high-tech, life sciences, and aerospace and defense industries.

Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant

Remote (USA)

  • Day to day Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to support and close technical sales opportunities for both new and expansion business.
  • Conduct discovery to uncover customer pain points and align Arena’s capabilities to business goals.
  • Build and deliver customized, story-driven product demonstrations focused on value and outcomes.
  • Lead fit assessments and contribute to solution design throughout the sales cycle.
  • Present Arena solutions to technical and business stakeholders, from end users to executives.
  • Contribute to demo, trial (POC), and video content that is scalable and relevant for target industries.
  • Be part of a continuous improvement model by giving and taking feedback from customers, Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Engineering departments.
  • Help prospects visualize how their “as-is” processes can transform into efficient “to-be” processes using Arena.
  • Provide early input to implementation planning and handoff documentation for post-sale teams.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical role at an enterprise software company (e.g., presales, customer success, technical support).
  • Understanding of the technical sales process (e.g., Solution Selling, Value Selling, MEDDIC, CoM).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including comfort presenting to executive audiences.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and comfortable building compelling demo day-in-the-life presentations.
  • Motivated for continuous learning and process improvement.
  • Friendly, detail-oriented, and adaptable, able to learn new software quickly and independently.
  • Experience with PLM, QMS, mCAD/eCAD, ERP, or software development is a strong plus.
  • Background or familiarity with new product development (NPD), new product introduction (NPI), and quality processes in the High Tech, Life Sciences, or Aerospace industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is a plus.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in either Life Science, High Tech, or Aerospace & Defense.

Position Level

This is a Solution Consultant role. Final title and level, Mid-Level, Senior, or Principal, will be determined based on experience, technical depth, and ability to lead complex sales cycles in collaboration with cross-functional teams.  Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipated the base salary range for this position to be between $108,000 - $192,000 USD.   The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on depending on the candidates’ skills, qualifications and experience and will also include the opportunity to earn a performance-based commission.  Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program with allows employees to purchased discounted stock, and for eligible roles, performance-based equity grants.
