The Opportunity
This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment where your ideas can transform how companies interact with customers. Based in Bangalore, you will be at the forefront of data engineering, crafting and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems that drive data-driven decision-making.
What you'll Do
- Primarily provides pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.
- Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions.
- May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions.
- May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.
- May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to process large volumes of data from various sources.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Database Management: Develop and manage databases and data warehouses, optimizing for performance and scalability.
- Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other collaborators to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Documentation: Document data processes, pipelines, and systems for transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues.
What you need to succeed
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Glue). Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with standard methodologies for data governance and security.
- Familiarity with machine learning and data science concepts.
