JOB OVERVIEW
The Solutions Architect serves as the connective tissue between Sales, Product, and Operations. This is not a feature-writing role — it’s a translation role. This individual walks into a sales conversation, understands what a client or prospect needs, and maps that need to what Equity has already built, what we’re building, and what it would cost to build something new.
Owns the answer to the question our sales team faces every day: “Can we do that?” — and makes sure that answer is grounded in reality, economics, and long-term architectural fit.

Produces solution design documents that map client needs to current platform capabilities, with gaps clearly identified and bounded
Collaborates with Product and Technology to ensure that legitimate net-new requests are properly scoped, prioritized, and woven into the roadmap
Identifies patterns across sales requests to surface repeatable capability gaps worth investing in
Flags architectural conflicts early, before commitments are made to clients
Develops cost-benefit models for proposed implementations, including build cost, operational lift, maintenance burden, and revenue impact
Provides leadership with clear trade-off framing: what we gain, what it costs, and what we deprioritize to get there
Assists sales and account teams set realistic expectations around pricing and scope
Follows assigned work schedule with regular and predictable attendance
