About the client:
Our client is a highly successful SAAS development company focused on delivering innovative, bespoke solutions across a wide range of industries including logistics, supply chain and manufacturing. With a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, they specialise in application development from scratch, continuous improvement, API’s and reporting.
What you will be doing:
- Design and implement resilient, end-to-end cloud-native solutions on both AWS and Azure.
- Serve as the chief technical advisor, translating business goals into clear cloud/technology roadmaps for executive leadership.
- Lead discovery workshops and collaborate across business units to define requirements and technical strategy.
- Provide direct, high-quality technical leadership and mentorship to architects, developers, and engineering teams.
- Drive best practices in scalability, high availability, cost optimisation, and security across all solutions.
- Oversee the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and contribute production-grade code.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to cloud security standards, compliance, and governance policies in all designs.
- Systematically recommend strategic services/platforms and stay current with disruptive trends in cloud, software development, and AI/ML.
What our client is looking for:
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional and Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with strong, hands-on experience designing and optimising architectures in both AWS and Microsoft Azure (multi-cloud environment). Must apply the respective Well-Architected Framework principles.
- Deep knowledge of core services in either AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation) and Azure (Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Active Directory).
- Extensive experience with modern patterns such as microservices, event-driven architecture, REST/GraphQL APIs, and proficiency in backend languages (Python, Java, C#, Node.js, or Go) and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong command of DevOps practices, Git, Docker/Kubernetes, and building CI/CD pipelines in AWS and/or Azure.
- Experience using cloud-native AI/ML services from both vendors (e.g., AWS SageMaker/Bedrock, Azure Machine Learning/OpenAI Service).
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex concepts to C-suite/executive stakeholders, combined with a strategic and commercial mindset to align technology with business outcomes.
- Proven ability to work independently, drive consensus across distributed teams, and combine a hands-on development mindset with strategic cloud architecture thinking.
