The Opportunity

We are currently hiring a Solutions Architect. Our Architects & Principal Engineers are leaders of our company – not just in terms of your technical capabilities but also how you lead and inspire our teams in delivery, and our Architects in particular are one of our greatest assets when it comes to promoting our brand and solutions with our customers. You will be expected to take a leading role in providing for the design and delivery of technically appropriate solutions to Gentrack customers in projects, adhering to enterprise and application architecture principles for the system being implemented in accordance with the project scope and governance.

As a software and service provider bringing complex, mission critical systems to a few large-scale clients in the United Kingdom and across the globe, we will only fulfill our global aspirations if we have the most talented leadership working with these clients to secure their business through the delivery and support of great technology.

The Specifics

• Define and communicate the technical architecture for platform solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with internal standards.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout development and implementation, ensuring designs are clearly understood and correctly executed by engineering teams.
• Partner with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to align solutions with customer requirements and deliver the agreed business outcomes.
• Produce high-quality architecture and design artifacts in line with internal governance and standards.
• Present and communicate complex technical concepts with professionalism to stakeholders, senior management, and engineering teams, inspiring confidence and guiding direction.
• Collaborate with customers and fellow architects on large-scale projects to define requirements and design optimal solutions.
• Apply a commercial perspective to design and estimation, ensuring solutions are delivered efficiently and profitably.
• Champion technical innovation and drive continuous improvement in architectural practices.

What we're looking for (you don’t need to be a guru at all, we’re looking forward to coaching and collaborating with you):

• Minimum 5 years' experience in solution design and leading solution implementations
• Extensive experience with Enterprise solutions in software development
• SDLC and Project Methodologies
• Industry knowledge in Software and Utilities, or in the least CRM / Billing solutions
• Background in engineering and development on large scale systems
• Technical specification writing including following best practice and mastery of relevant design tools and approaches
• TOGAF qualification or equivalent
