Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Architect to join the Brazil-based DataHub squad, leading solution and platform architecture for global Mappers and DataHub integrations. In this role, you will act as the primary technical bridge between ESS and the Brazil team, translating enterprise priorities into clear architectures, RFCs, and delivery guardrails. You will work closely with global stakeholders, including KL and North America, helping position Brazil as a key hub for DataHub self-service and integrations. This role combines strong architectural ownership with hands-on technical execution, particularly in AI-native engineering, while setting high standards for security, performance, and platform scalability.
Your key responsibilities
- Own solution and platform architecture for complex DataHub and mapper initiatives, defining RFCs, reference designs, and scalable solutions.
- Act as the primary technical conduit between ESS and the Brazil squad, aligning enterprise and regional priorities and resolving architectural trade-offs.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance across teams, ensuring high-quality and consistent design decisions.
- Drive platform development, secure deployment practices, and optimization across performance, reliability, and cost.
- Remain highly hands-on with AI-native engineering (agents, LLMs, MCP, and agentic workflows), applying these patterns in real solutions.
- Collaborate with global teams (KL DataHub, ESS, and other regions) to ensure alignment and reduce architectural drift.
- Mentor engineers across levels, strengthening architecture knowledge, design thinking, and production excellence.
- Partner on reliability and operations, including observability, incident reviews, and long-term fixes for critical systems.
- Drive inner-source practices and integration strategies to improve reuse and consistency across global DataHub initiatives.
What we expect from you
- Strong experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or platform engineering, with proven delivery in complex environments.
- Expertise in system design, distributed systems, and large-scale backend architectures.
- Solid experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and API design (OpenAPI).
- Deep knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, containers, and modern cloud-native architectures.
- Strong experience in CI/CD, deployment pipelines (Jenkins), and release strategies including rollback and environment promotion.
- Expertise in security architecture and code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube, Veracode or Checkmarx).
- Proven ability to drive performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Experience leading architecture discussions, writing RFCs, and influencing cross-team technical decisions.
- Strong collaboration skills in global environments, working across regions and stakeholders.
- Advanced English proficiency (mandatory) and Portuguese for local collaboration.
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning (serving, pipelines, or MLOps).
- Hands-on experience with AI-native tools and approaches (e.g., Cursor, Claude or equivalent LLMs, MCP, agent-based workflows).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and advanced cloud automation.
- Experience with event-driven architectures or data streaming (e.g., Kafka).
- Familiarity with advanced AI patterns such as RAG or evaluation frameworks.
- Exposure to large-scale global platforms and inner-source collaboration models.
