The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Solutions Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary technical resource for our sales and onboarding processes, bridging the gap between customer needs and our product capabilities. You will play a crucial part in the sales cycle by demonstrating how our solutions can solve customer challenges, as well as ensuring a seamless transition from sales to a successful onboarding experience. The ideal candidate is a technical expert who is also an excellent communicator, capable of translating complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions.

Sales Related Responsibilities
  • Meet with the customer or sales team to gather information about the functional and technical requirements and understand the prospects actual challenges and architecture.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable technical solutions that align with Open LMS solutions capabilities.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure all technical requirements are accurately captured for the sales and onboarding process.
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers.
  • Tailor demos to address specific customer challenges, demonstrating how the Open LMS solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Present proof of concepts (PoCs) and pilot solutions to demonstrate product feasibility and value proposition.
  • Assist in responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFI) by providing answers to the technical requirements.
  • Ensure that all technical requirements are responded to or addressed.
  • Supporting sales teams by drafting technical portions of proposals and ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Develop customization specifications as required by customers (avoiding whenever possible) and work with both the sales and professional services teams on the scoping of the customizations.
  • Participate in marketing activities, preparing and delivering presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts for pipeline development.
Onboarding and Migration Related Responsibilities
  • Ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales by providing all necessary documentation, discovery, notes and technical insights to improve and ensure a successful onboarding experience.
  • Support the Onboarding Project Managers as a dedicated resource for premium onboardings and on demand for standard onboardings.
  • Perform technical analysis for migration purposes to identify the main issues and provide the respective workarounds, recommendations and documentation to support the migration process.
  • Support the migration projects as a technical resource to guide, help and migrate clients within Open LMS internal products.
Cross Functional Related Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Open LMS internal teams, including sales, product management, adoption, and onboarding project managers, to deliver the best solutions to customers.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and internal teams, providing customer feedback to influence product roadmaps and development priorities.
  • Work on projects that positively impact the team or company in addition to other job responsibilities.
  • Maintain current product knowledge and learn new products, new features, or new plugins as required.
Qualifications
  • At least 2+ years experience in a client facing role
  • At least 1+ years experience providing sales support
  • Proven experience in a solutions architect, pre-sales engineer, or a similar technical customer-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of LMS (Learning Management System) platforms and related technologies is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in responding to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with data migration and project management is a plus.
