If you see complex, fragmented enterprise platforms and immediately want to design clean, unified ecosystems, this is for you. We’re looking for a Solutions Architect who treats software architecture as a precise craft and wants to own the technology landscape for our global financial operations.

About JetBrains

At JetBrains, we create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.

What you’ll do

The Solutions Architect in the Finance Transformation Office serves as the trusted technical advisor and authority for designing, validating, and articulating scalable technology solutions and architecture landscapes that support the Finance department's digital and operational transformation agenda.

This role sits at the intersection of technology strategy, finance systems architecture, and transformation delivery, translating complex Finance business requirements into practical, high-impact solutions.

The Solutions Architect acts as the technical backbone of the Finance Transformation portfolio, ensuring that every major initiative is designed correctly from the outset, governed according to established architectural standards, and delivered in alignment with the Finance team’s target operating model. This involves driving the overall landscape of finance systems architecture, including supporting technical and process documentation.

Success in this role requires combining deep technical expertise with strong business consulting skills, including the ability to engage confidently with senior-level stakeholders, simplify complex architectural concepts for non-technical audiences, and drive first-time-right solution design in multi-technology, multi-vendor environments.

Day to day, you will:

Solution design, validation, documentation

  • Lead technical discovery and solution design for Finance Transformation Office initiatives, defining scalable architectures that align with business goals and technical constraints.
  • Own end-to-end solution architecture for Finance Department systems, as well as for assigned programs, reducing delivery risk, improving system performance, and accelerating implementation timelines.
  • Design and document scalable architecture processes for the Finance team’s systems and integration patterns.
  • Validate the technical, operational, and commercial feasibility of proposed solutions, approving or adjusting designs as required.
  • Guarantee compliance with vendor standards, architecture principles, and internal governance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs for design validation and alignment with governance standards throughout the transformation delivery lifecycle.

Stakeholder engagement

  • Support project and program initiation activities by analyzing business requirements, defining solution approaches, and preparing architecture documentation for senior stakeholder review.
  • Engage with the Finance department’s business leaders, IT partners, and external vendors to understand requirements and translate them into compelling, value-driven solutions.
  • Facilitate technical discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, architecture workshops, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Prepare and present solution proposals and architecture recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, adapting the communication style accordingly.

Delivery governance and technical leadership

  • Establish and oversee architecture standards, technology selection, and developer best practices across transformation programs.
  • Guide technical and non-technical teams during transformation delivery by reviewing architecture, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring adherence to the defined solution architecture.
  • Perform hands-on development when required, building proofs-of-concept, reference implementations, or critical components using modern programming languages, APIs, and cloud-native services.
  • Provide technical consulting to business teams in the Finance department and project delivery teams, evaluating existing systems and recommending modernization strategies, integration approaches, and performance improvements.
  • Act as an escalation point for design disputes, configuration conflicts, and cross-program technical dependencies.

Functional and cross-functional collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Transformation Office Lead, the PMO, delivery engineers, and the Finance team’s business stakeholders to shape solution proposals and ensure alignment across business and technology teams.
  • Work with vendor technical teams to confirm design compliance and get access to the latest product innovations relevant to finance transformation.
  • Coordinate with partner-facing roles to support the implementation of joint solutions.
  • Provide technical validation for pipeline opportunities and business cases, supporting accurate planning and forecasting.

Knowledge development and innovation

  • Maintain an architecture knowledge base with process, governance, and design documentation and certifications.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to finance and financial services transformation, including AI, automation, and digital platforms.
  • Share knowledge internally through technical enablement sessions and best-practice documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvements and the evolution of solutioning frameworks and governance standards within the Finance Transformation Office.
What you’ll bring
  • Strong technical architecture expertise, with experience designing and documenting scalable, secure, and future-ready enterprise solutions across complex, multi-technology and multi-cloud environments.
  • A consultative approach to solution design, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, value-driven technical solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in delivery governance, including establishing and applying engineering standards, architecture processes, and governance frameworks across transformation programs.
  • Confident stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate architecture decisions clearly, engage senior leaders, and manage competing priorities diplomatically.
  • A strong interest in innovation and continuous learning, with the ability to identify emerging technologies and apply relevant developments to the Finance Transformation agenda.
  • A collaborative and supportive working style, with experience partnering across functions and mentoring delivery and business teams in solution design and governance best practices.
What you’ll need:
  • Established experience in roles such as Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Solution Consultant – ideally in enterprise finance, SaaS, or financial services technology environments.
  • Extensive experience in software development, with extensive hands-on engineering experience across modern application platforms and architectures.
  • Advanced expertise in software architecture, with proven experience designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable enterprise-grade systems.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud-native architecture patterns (AWS, Azure, or GCP), as well as architect-level or hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud provider.
  • Strong proficiency with at least one major technology stack – .NET, Java, Python, or Node.js – with deep hands-on development or architecture expertise.
  • Practical experience with architecture documentation methodologies and standards.
  • Solid understanding of pre-sales and solution shaping activities, including estimation, technical proposal preparation, and architecture review processes.
  • Proven experience consulting clients on technical architecture decisions and cross-domain technology topics in complex delivery environments.
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
  • Business-level English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience that would be especially valuable:
  • Experience with core banking systems, middleware, digital frontend frameworks, and financial services integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with AI, ML, cybersecurity, data platforms, or enterprise automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or SEI (certification preferred).
  • Vendor certifications in relevant technology pillars, such as cloud, security, networking, or data.
  • Experience in partner enablement, technical training delivery, or multi-vendor IT distribution environments.
  • International and multicultural experience.
What success looks like
  • Finance systems architecture and process design delivered in compliance with architecture standards.
  • SLA adherence for design validation, architecture reviews, and governance compliance.
  • High quality and stakeholder-satisfaction scores for technical architecture and solution designs.
  • High number of technical enablement sessions and knowledge-sharing contributions delivered.
  • Delivery risk reduction attributable to architectural oversight and early design intervention.
