Description
8x8 is looking for a Solutions Architect to support our CPaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) solutions in the North America market, with a deep focus on Messaging and SMS. As a Solutions Architect you will partner with the Sales team, be a trusted advisor to our customers, and a CPaaS and Messaging technical expert. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering and Enablement to evangelize the CPaaS platform, understand the industry regulations and enable the field on CPaaS and Messaging. The primary responsibility is to drive a technical win by helping our customer understand the value of our CPaaS platform through solution selling.
Responsibilities

Develop an in-depth understanding of the 8x8 CPaaS platform

Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape and regulatory requirements in the US messaging market.

Collaborate with the sales teams to identify CPaaS and Messaging opportunities and provide technical expertise during the sales process

Be a thought leader and trusted advisor for the CPaaS industry and 8x8 product portfolio

Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the our CPaaS capabilities

Provide best practices and guidance on integrating our messaging solutions with customer’s systems

Act as a voice of the customer to gather feedback and provide insights to product and engineering teams

Develop and deliver enablement content for CPaaS and messaging to the 8x8 sales teams
Qualifications
Required:
-
5+ years of Sales/Solutions Engineering experience with SaaS/CaaS/CPaaS services
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
-
3+ years of experience supporting messaging/SMS services
-
Understand the North American market for messaging, including industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communicator and presenter across all levels of an organization from C-Level to technical buyer
-
Modern software development experience (JavaScripit, Node.js, Python, etc)

Experience building with REST APIs

Experience building cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architecture
The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
Salary Ranges:
$183,375.00 - $305,625.00
