The Solution Sales Leader for the Cloud & AI Platform team leads a team of Cloud & AI sellers responsible for driving customer transformation, business growth, and adoption of Microsoft Cloud technologies. This director-level role serves as a strategic sales leader, helping customers realize their Cloud & AI transformation goals through Azure, Data, Analytics, AI, and modern application solutions.  The leader builds, develops, and coaches a high-performing team that partners with enterprise customers to identify business opportunities, influence executive decision makers, and accelerate customer success. Success in this role requires a passion for people leadership, sales execution, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to lead through change while maintaining a customer-first mindset.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Cloud & AI specialist sellers to achieve business objectives and customer outcomes.
  • Drive execution of sales strategies that increase Cloud & AI platform adoption, consumption, and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships to influence digital transformation initiatives and long-term strategic investments.
  • Own pipeline creation, opportunity management, forecasting accuracy, and overall sales execution excellence.
  • Partner with Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Account Teams, Partner Organizations, and Field Leadership to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Develop talent through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and career development.
  • Share best practices, customer insights, and market intelligence across the organization to improve team capabilities and business results.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead organizational change effectively, helping teams adapt to evolving customer needs and market conditions.
  • Drive business planning, territory management, and execution against key performance indicators.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.
 Other Requirements
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States that does not now or in the future require employer sponsorship.

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, Information Security, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 12+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years solution or services sales experience.
  • 3+ years people management experience.

Solution Area Specialists M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.
