We are Procure Ai, the market leader in bringing artificial intelligence and automation to the procurement process with the goal to unlock massive savings for our clients by having a high-value procurement function. We are a team of experienced tech and business professionals, based in Germany, UK and France. This role is based in Heidelberg, where we are currently opening an office with a hybrid work model (2-3 days office attendance). To foster team spirit and collaboration, we regularly gather for exciting company offsites in various locations across Europe. We are now recruiting for an experienced Solution Engineer (m/f/d) for our growing Go-to-market team.

Impact & ownership

In this pivotal role, you will support revenue growth by engaging with potential clients, understanding their needs, and presenting tailored solutions that deliver business value and highlight our unique value proposition. You will work primarily with our sales team for Germany, supporting sales opportunities and driving customer acquisition while collaborating closely with the product and customer success teams to ensure seamless integration of client requirements into our product offerings.   • Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions that showcase our unique value proposition.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and position our products effectively, providing technical support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of competitors’ offerings and articulate our product differentiators, creating persuasive presentations and demonstrations.
  • Own and drive expertise around product positioning, use cases, technical landscape, and demo best practices, serving as the first line of defense and product expert for sales and prospects.
  • Support the creation of commercial proposals and executive presentations, including business value assessments with ROI/TCO calculations.
  • Collaborate with the product team to align client requirements with product capabilities, ensuring seamless integration of client needs into our offerings.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical pre-sales or a similar role within the B2B enterprise software space.
  • Profound understanding of data and AI technology and its practical applications, ideally in the enterprise procurement space.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of enterprise procurement processes.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, fluent in both German and English.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and articulate competitive advantages, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-centric and commercially driven, with the ability to tailor solutions to meet client needs.
  • Experience with value engineering and ROI/TCO quantification to support business value assessments.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment focused on delivering results.
  • We are open to very senior (director level) candidates - as long as you love being hands on in the nitty gritty.
