DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role


The Solution Engineer is responsible for providing end-to-end technical support across both pre-sales and post-sales activities, working closely with sales teams, customers, partners, and vendors to design, demonstrate, implement, and support cybersecurity solutions.


The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand customer business and technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions. The Solution Engineer will support customers throughout the solution lifecycle, from technical evaluation and Proof of Concept (POC) to deployment, troubleshooting, optimization, and knowledge transfer. This combines the customer-facing solution responsibilities of the Pre-Sales Engineer with the implementation and technical support responsibilities of the Professional Services Engineer.

As the Solution Engineer you will:


  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for assigned cybersecurity products and solutions to customers and partners.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to understand customer business and technical requirements, design appropriate solutions, and support technical proposals and solution positioning.
  • Conduct solution presentations, demonstrations, Proof of Concept (POC), and technical evaluations for customers and partners.
  • Support RFI/RFP responses, technical solution design, compliance requirements, and technical clarifications in collaboration with Sales and vendors.
  • Design solutions based on customers' IT, network, and security environments, business requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Deliver professional services, including implementation, configuration, integration, migration, troubleshooting, technical consulting, and solution optimization.
  • Perform lab testing and solution validation to support POCs, solution design, deployments, new product features, and technical issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and work with vendors and support teams to manage technical escalation and resolution when required.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation reports, configuration guides, and knowledge-base materials.
  • Provide technical training, enablement, and knowledge transfer to customers, partners, internal sales teams, and other engineers.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies, product features, competitive solutions, and industry trends to effectively support business development and customers.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, partners, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the solution lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

 

The ideal Pre-Sales Engineer

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology.
  • Experience 2 year in Network / Internet Security Engineer.
  • Expert level experience with networking products and applications and cloud technology.
  • Knowledge on Network Device, Switch and Router, IP, WAN, LAN.
  • Knowledge on Security Device, Firewall, Web Application Firewall, Security Gateway Solution.
  • Knowledge on Endpoint and EDR Solution, DLP Solution.
  • Knowledge on Cloud Solution is a plus.
  • Knowledge on DNS, DHCP, IPAM Solution and Microsoft AD is a plus.
  • JavaScript or Phyton ability is a plus.
  • Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously.
  • Good attitude and self-learning skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and across various organization level.
