The Solution Design Manager collaborates with our Sales team to craft unique proposals for business opportunities. This role will be responsible for the creation of a proposal deliverable including pricing and highly customized content.

Scope

  • Works with Marketing to organize, categorize, and maintain the library of information related to all Company services. Writes proposal content and case studies to support client opportunities as needed.

  • No direct reports.

Reporting and Working Relationships

  • Reports to Director, Strategy/Solution Design. Works collaboratively with Creative Managers, Travel Buyers, Account Executives, Sales Leaders, Meeting Event Managers, Marketing team and all functional support teams to provide strategic and unique proposal solution for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • 80% - STRATEGY, CREATION & EXECUTION: Collaborates with other subject matter experts as the lead across all functional areas to create the best strategic response to client RFP (Request for Proposal). Performs client research to ensure a competitive edge to the response. Constructs timeline and sets up continuous touch points during the proposal process. Collects input from many sources and creates a persuasive and powerful proposal response. Leads the presale team in more complex and strategic client requests that require integrating multiple functional areas and possibly other Maritz business units or vendors. Integrates industry, technical and product/service expertise for a more comprehensive proposal response. Helps to expand Experience Design strategies within the pre-sale team.

  • 20% - PRODUCT OFFERING & INDUSTRY EXPERTISE: Continuously maintains knowledge and expertise of new processes, technology and service offerings within the Company, and applicable industry trends or innovations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience required.

  • 7 plus years of experience in related professional field required. Experience in a project management role dealing with services is preferred; or similar Maritz experience.

  • Strong ability to collaborate with others and strategic leadership skills.

  • Solution oriented person; familiarity and understanding of strategy development preferred.

  • Strong understanding of Maritz products, services, operations, and overall approach to business preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with an ability to work under tight deadline pressure.

  • Professional written and oral communications skills with proven ability to present strategic recommendations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.
