Tasks and Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
- Derive multiple conceptual ideas for an intralogistics solution, evaluate and compare these and select the best fitting concept for both the customer and us.
- Configure and size the solution for the project based on conceptual ideas, material flow diagram, and project information.
- Create 3D solution models and ensure all relevant metadata to the components and project are configured correctly so the model is prepared for various costing phases.
- Identify and apply standard products, modules, subsystems, and solutions and align where needed with the global product managers and COE's.
- Review customer specifications, highlight changes in scope, review proposal information, clarify with the customer and clarify any deviations where necessary.
- Continuously improve technical component knowledge, to identify and apply the right components for the project.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities and communicate these to the Solution Project Manager.
- Together with the sales manager participate in customer meetings to better understand the customer requirements, site conditions, present the proposed solution and help lead the customer to an optimal solution.
- Create and support a collaborative approach within the business, generating close interaction with the commercial and implementation teams throughout the process.
- Attend internal review meetings with other departments, such as CE-compliance, installation and engineering, to capture the required adjustments to the solution.
- Create visuals such as AutoCAD concept sketches, Navisworks exports, and detailed diagrams to explain the proposed solution, as well as a phasing plan where needed.
- Create visual and charted representations of material flow based on the offer layouts.
- Contribute and align to best practices and tools in the solution design community.
- Liaise and coordinate with flex resources from other teams to enable a timely response in design changes and offer delivery.
- Drive the handover process to make sure ‘as sold’ and mission critical aspects are recognised, and scope/mission creep is minimised where possible and recorded where necessary. Leading to a clearer expectation of the customer at the point of handover.
- Ensure compliance with the commercial process taking both the customer and internal milestones in mind.
- Communicate project progress and updates to stakeholders and team members regularly within the defined channels.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong in the following traits: effective communication skills, team player, problem solving, proactivity, ability to conceptualise and create 3D-models and have a 'getting things done' mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure, managing projects priorities with tight timelines.
- You are communicative and are fluent in English (Level C1 or higher). Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- You can work fluently with Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.
- You can take ownership of a project and take initiative to coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion.
Experience Desired:
- Knowledge of the materials handling market and its trends
- Knowledge of warehouse and mechanised/automated systems operations
- Knowledge of customer buying behaviour of automated material handling solutions
- Experience of presentations to/interacting with customers at different levels within a business structure (Operators, Maintenance Engineers, Buyers, CEO’s etc)
- Experience in 2D/3D modelling in CAD
- Experience working in an international team collaboration environment
- Fluent English Level (C1 or higher)
- Valid driving licence in accordance with the national laws and company policy
Education & Certifications:
- You have a degree in engineering or a comparable professional qualification.
