Solution Architect

Position Overview: 

Within the Digital Service Platform area, Sky Italia, the first Italian media company and the European leader in entertainment, is seeking for a Solution Architect with excellent analytical and technical skills merged with a real passion for computer science and innovation that will work in a complex and mature Agile context.

Solution Architect

The candidate will be responsible for the design of software and infrastructure architectures fitting business needs and optimized from a technical point of view.

Architect will work with many different stakeholders like product owners, delivery managers, business analysts and developers. The architect will be also responsible to provide feasibility studies and will be in charge to define the architectural solution, working with the agile teams to assess the architecture feasibility and providing the inputs needed to the agile teams to develop. Furthermore, the candidate works on the continuous review of the architecture, choose new tools and technologies.

Key responsibilities: 

·        Identify, assess and design end-to-end architectures and digital platforms for our web and mobile channels

·        Lead architecture solution design and the architectural evolution during the project delivery

·        Provide guidance implementing modern digital solution architectures (API, Cloud, Web Applications, third party integrations)

·        Collaborate directly with the business influencing and driving the decisions in order to speed up and optimize the final solution

·        Collaborate directly with cyber security and tech compliance departments to guaranteed solutions compliant for both point of view: security and GDPR

·        Provide guidance implementing digital solution architectures, demonstrating which solutions are advantageous and which are worthless in a specific context

·        Foster innovation through introduction of new technologies, products and services

Core competencies and qualifications:

·        Degree in computing or related subject

·        At least 7 years’ experience in Digital environment

·        At least 5 years’ experience in development digital application (e.i.: SPA, REST API, Spring)

·        At least 1 years’ experience in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure)

·        Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills, with high-levels of creativity

·        Good knowledge of modern technologies (Micro, Domain Driven Design, SSR, REST, Spring framework, Node.JS, Angular), REACT, VUE)

·        Fully understand service architecture and platforms, including key aspects (e.i.: caching, proxies, REST, security, performance, scalability)
