Solution Architect

What does a successful Solution Architect, Embedded Finance do?
At Fiserv, a successful Solution Architect in Embedded Finance drives innovation and efficiency by designing and overseeing the technical architecture of our embedded financial products. As a Partner in Possibility, you'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and external partners to create robust, scalable, and compliant solutions that seamlessly integrate into various platforms and experiences, aligning with Fiserv's mission to revolutionize financial services.

What you will do:

• Architect end-to-end technical solutions for embedded financial products, including lending, payments, and banking-as-a-service (BaaS) offerings.
• Define and oversee integration strategies for financial services into third-party platforms, applications, and customer journeys.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Ensure solutions are highly scalable, secure, and resilient, meeting growing demands and evolving market conditions.
• Collaborate with compliance, legal, and security teams to ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, AML, KYC).
• Collaborate effectively with product management, engineering, operations, sales, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
• Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design documents, data flow diagrams, and API specifications.

What you will need to have:

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, focusing on financial services or fintech.
• 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing solutions for embedded finance or BaaS.
• Deep understanding of modern software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their relevant services.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and/or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

• 8+ years of experience with various integration patterns and technologies (e.g., APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures).
• 8+ years of experience with financial regulations, compliance requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, PCI DSS), and risk management in financial services.
• Knowledge of blockchain or distributed ledger technologies in a financial context.
• Familiarity with specific embedded finance platforms or APIs.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and creating data flow diagrams and API specifications.

Important information about this role:

• This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.

• This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.

Salary Range

$136,000.00 - $225,600.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
