The Solution Architect for the Kardex Control Center Software Team based in North America will be responsible for driving the architecture and technical vision of our software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and quality assurance, to design and deliver high-quality software solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Support the development and refinement of standard solutions, project tools, documents and processes

Travel domestically and possibility internationally, total travel estimate is 30%

Job Requirements

Training/Education:

Business or technical degree in engineering or a similar field recommended

Excellent communication skills

Professional Experience:

3+ years’ experience with software functional and interface design

Proven portfolio of projects

Other Experiences:

Experience with project and team management

Detailed understanding of logistics and IT processes

Ability to use AutoCAD, MS office suite, SQL Server, other similar software programs

Main Accountabilities

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with product management and customers to understand their business requirements and translate them into comprehensive software solution designs. Ensure that the proposed solutions align with the overall product roadmap and strategic objectives.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and development methodologies. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously enhance the software solutions.
  • System Integration: Design and implement integration strategies and patterns to connect the Kardex Control Center software with various enterprise systems, such as ERPs, WMS, and MES. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between different software components.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during pre-sales activities, including solution presentations, product demonstrations, and responding to technical inquiries. Create technical proposals and assist in defining project scopes and estimations.
  • Project Implementation: Produce the functional and interface specifications for the Kardex Control Center product for each project focusing on standard and core functionality. 
  • Customer Relationship Management: Engage with customers to understand their specific software requirements and address any technical concerns or issues. Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical guidance and support throughout the customer journey.
