Job Description:

HarperDB is seeking a skilled and proactive Solution Architect to collaborate closely with our sales and delivery team in developing and executing proof of concept (PoC) projects for our clients. The Solution Architect will be responsible for gathering requirements, building PoC applications, and ensuring the success of these projects through technical expertise and support. This role reports directly to our Field CTO. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain proof of concept applications in alignment with client objectives and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate closely with our sales team to understand client needs for PoC projects.
• Provide prompt and expert technical support to address customer questions and concerns during PoC development.
• Continuously expand knowledge of HarperDB's architecture and functionality to maximize PoC effectiveness.
• Coordinate with external developers to assist and support their efforts in building and maintaining PoCs using HarperDB technology as needed.
• Demonstrate HarperDB features to customers and adapt communication to meet their specific needs and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated experience in software development and technical project delivery, particularly in a pre-sales or customer-facing capacity.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in application development, such as JavaScript, Python, or Go, with a focus on building scalable solutions.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, cloud platforms, and architecture design principles.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Prior experience in load testing, solution architecture, and platform integration is advantageous.
• Prior experience with distributed systems. 

Bonus Qualifications:

• Prior experience with HarperDB or similar distributed database solutions.
