What Your Impact Will Be: 

 

We are seeking an experienced Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) ESP Solution Architect/Developer to lead the design, configuration, development and deployment of Enterprise Supply Planning solutions. This role will play a pivotal part in enabling global supply chain transformation by leveraging Blue Yonder’s advanced planning capabilities to optimize supply planning, inventory positioning, and production strategies. The candidate must be willing to work on site 4 days a week in Hyderabad, during US EST time zone.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Lead and own the end-to-end architecture and design of Blue Yonder ESP (Enterprise Supply Planning) solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable solution designs that align with industry best practices and Blue Yonder's functional framework.
  • Define planning models, network design, constraints, and heuristics aligned to business supply strategies.
  • Expertise in interpreting solver results ensuring optimized planning quality based on constraints.

Configuration & Development

  • Configure and develop components within Blue Yonder ESP, including supply planning, inventory balancing, pegging, and constraint-based planning logic.
  • Customize ESP engines to align with business supply network models, demand signals, and production capacities.
  • Create and manage planning parameters, supply chain hierarchies, and master data elements.

 Implementation & Configuration

  • Configure ESP modules including supply planning, constrained planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Guide integration of ESP with up/downstream systems (Demand Planning, ERP, MRP, MES, Google Datalake).
  • Oversee data modeling, master data configuration, and rule-based planning logic.

Technical Leadership & Governance

  • Provide leadership and guidance to implementation teams and technical consultants.
  • Review and approve functional and technical design documents.
  • Ensure adherence to Blue Yonder standards and change management protocols.

 

Business Collaboration & Change Enablement

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across supply chain, manufacturing, and IT to gather requirements and align solution outcomes.
  • Conduct design workshops, walkthroughs, and training sessions to ensure knowledge transfer and user adoption.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for solution design decisions and issue resolution.

Continuous Improvement & Support

  • Identify and propose enhancements for planning performance, configuration, or data integration.
  • Support hypercare and transition to steady-state planning operations.
  • Evaluate emerging Blue Yonder capabilities and industry trends to evolve the planning landscape.
  • Contribute to production support and documenting processes and facilitating enablement sessions to empower stakeholders with the necessary skills and knowledge to utilize BY ESP solutions effectively.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in supply chain planning, with at least 5+ years in Blue Yonder ESP architecture or implementation.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise in configuring, designing and deploying Blue Yonder ESP modules (Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, S&OP, Manufacturing Planning) solutions and managing Control-M with extensive experience of MAP solver and ability to understand and interpret solver output ensuring optimal planning results. Strong understanding of planning algorithms (constrained/unconstrained), pegging, and network optimization. Scripting (e.g., PL/SQL, Python, or batch scripting) skill is a must. Experience with integration to ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Infor. Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., SAP PI, MuleSoft, Informatica) and batch/scheduled data feeds.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Cultural Awareness: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and highly dynamic environment and manage teams across different time zones. Must be multi-tasker and able to prioritize and deliver assignments with the highest quality under pressure with short deadlines.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Blue Yonder certification in ESP or SCPO suite is highly desirable.
  • Experience in scripting (e.g., PL/SQL, Python, or batch scripting) is a significant advantage especially OIL scripts.
  • Experience in deploying complex BOM, Load building planning, dynamic deployment functionality is highly preferred.
  • Experience in SPARQ solver is a plus.
  • Experience in large-scale global supply chain transformation programs.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid implementation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of other Blue Yonder modules (Demand Planning, Sequencing, Control Tower) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Anaplan (planning) models is a plus.
